Batteries Aqualess PzRM

Cell design with the highest electrolyte reserve and proven EPzS technology using tubular plate construction with low-antimony alloys, combined with a regulated charging mode, results in significantly extended intervals for refilling distilled water. PzRM cells are manufactured and tested in accordance with EN60254-1 and IEC254-1 certifications.

Main advantages of TAB Aqualess (PzRM) batteries:

  • The water refilling period is significantly reduced,
  • Lower water consumption,
  • Low maintenance and operating costs,
  • 50% to 80% reduced gas release and ventilation requirements,
  • 20% to 30% shorter charging time,
  • Cost savings due to 10% to 20% lower energy consumption,
  • Charging factor reduced from the standard to 1.07,
  • Operating temperature reduced by an average of 5°C,

TAB Aqualess battery specification:

  • Water refilling interval extended up to 12 weeks (100 cycles, under normal operation at 80% of rated C5 capacity, one cycle per day, 5 days per week, electrolyte T = 30°C),
  • Appropriate rectifiers (Hf, IUIa, pulse rectifiers) with a charging factor of 1.07 should be used for these batteries,
  • Cells are equipped with an electrolyte mixing system (using a rectifier with an integrated air pump) to prevent electrolyte stratification and ensure optimal charging,
  • Batteries are assembled with a central water refilling system (BFS),
  • Each battery has an electrolyte level sensor. A red light signals the user that water refilling is necessary.
